DESCRIPTION:
Base on the project brief and problem that I chose, I had to create a solution to bring the dying Singapore dialects' culture and language back to life.

I chose this brief as I felt that dialects are not only part of who we are as Singaporeans, but knowing our dialects culture and language can also help us feel closer to the older folks, such as our grandparents.

My creative solution for this was to plan a food carnival to enlighten youths and young adults on the different dialect's traditional food and teach simple food related phrases. The dialects I focused were the Cantonese, Hokkien and Hakka cultures.

The concept of my carnival is the old street hawker. I hope people can experience something their grandparents did. The main feature of this concept is a 5 cent coin. Food used to be very cheap in the past and you might have heard that one bowl of noodles could cost just 5 cents.

The title of the carnival is Sik Jiak Sik, which is Eat Eat Eat but in the 3 dialects

Deliverable ideas:
1. 3D packaging box
- Flip food book (Book with the dialects' food and description. Singaporeans often have a hard time choosing what to eat. If they can't decide on what to eat, they can eat
whatever dish they land on after flipping)
- Cup coaster
- Learning cards (phrases and words for each of the 3 dialects)
2. brochure
3. Instagram ads (account)
4. show reel
